Even though their faces don't show it, they really do like each other : )

Fast Friends
When we first got to Sacramento, Jason and Ashley were kind enough to let us stay with them for a few weeks. The morning after we got there, Paisley and Weston woke up around the same time, so Ashley and I introduced them again (it had been a long time). We laid them on the blanket and right away, Paisley reached over and grabbed Weston's hand. It was the cutest thing I have ever seen. They have been friends ever since, even though they are a little more agressive when they play together now : ) It has been really fun to have babies so close in age with Jason and Ashley.

Namesake
On our drive up to Sacramento from San Diego, we stopped by good 'ole La Canada to see our friend Chris Weston. Casey and Chris met in the Accounting program at BYU and have kept in close contact since. He also happens to be an all-around great guy and we really liked his last name, so we decided to name Weston after him.

We're Still Alive
I know you were all wondering where we went, but not to worry, we're back. We've just been moving from place to place, Casey has been monopolizing the computer to study for his CPA exam, and we didn't have the internet for three weeks. I know, excuses, excuses, but that's all I've got. I'll make up for it by posting everything that I would have during the time I was a slacker : )

Casey's Birthday Fun
As you know, it was Casey's birthday last week and this is what we did. After we got up, I went to Alpine Taco Shop (a favorite of ours) and got him a Super Breakfast Burrito. I wanted to take him to the beach later that afternoon, but until then, he watched sports/ a fight that he had recorded on TV. On the way to the beach we hit up In-N-Out and it was delicious as always. It wasn't the perfect weather for the beach (a little windy), but it was still fun and we got to take Weston for the first time (you have to take a whole lot more when you have a baby :) ). Unfortunately, he made it a short trip because he got a little fussy. After the beach we headed home for dinner, but before dinner we played catch since we didn't get the chance at the beach. For dinner Garth & Janelle made steak, etc. Then we had chocolate cake with chocolate frosting made by our niece Shelby and she did a great job! For presents I got him Rob & Big, Seasons 1 & 2, his Mom got him a new razor, a card with money from my parents, and other cards and phone calls to make his 26th birthday special.

2 Month Update
It's update time again. He looks so big to me and his 2 month appointment confirmed it. Our little boy is on his way to becoming a big boy.
Here are a few tidbits about Weston:
-He smiles even more, especially at girls. He is the biggest flirt.
-He likes to stand up, sit up, and face the front. He is super curious.
-He starting doing what I call "Looking both ways."
-He loves to suck his hands and if his pacifier falls out, this is what he usually does to pacify himself. Most of the time he tries to stick both hands in at once.
-He has rolled over 4 times already and is even more active.
-If we sit him up against a flat surface, he can usually stay sitting up until he starts to wiggle uncontrollably. Our nephew Ethan calls him Wiggly Weston : )
-When he is on his tummy he can hold up his head and his shoulders most of the time, although tummy time is not usually his favorite because he can't see enough of what is going on around him.
-We have pretty long conversations and he has started drooling like a madman : )
-Started sleeping through the night (thank goodness)
Firsts:
-Went in the pool for the first time
-Went to the beach for the first time (pictures to come)
-Rolled over for the first time
-Had his first set of shots and took it like a champ
-Went on his first plane ride and slept the whole time each way
Stats:
Height - 24 1/4 in. (88th percentile)
Weight - 12lbs. 14 1/2oz. (75th percentile)
Head - 39 1/2 in. (37th percentile)

***We have a few videos of him including half of a roll over, but we'll post them later.

Field Trip!
2 Weeks ago we took a field trip. Whenever we are in San Diego we like to go somewhere we've never been before, so we decided to go to the Olympic Training Center and Old Town (I've been, but it's been a long time). First we went to the Olympic Training Center which is one of three official ones in the US. It is also the largest and newest. It was neat to see and we got to watch the US Womens Field Hockey Team destroy China. After a quick lunch at In-N-Out, we headed to Old Town where we saw the Mormon Batallion Center and walked around Old Town. Then we headed home because we were all a little tired after our fun-filled day : )
This picture is crooked, but just getting one took some effort, so I decided not to straighten it for the memories : )

Happy Birthday to the Best Husband Ever!
Today is Casey's birthday and I just wanted to take the opportunity to let everyone know how wonderful I think he is. Here are a few things I love about Casey:-I love that he loves to work out so that he always looks good for me. I also love watching him flex his muscles in the mirror. The picture to the left is typical Casey and attests to this : )
-I love how dedicated he is. He is such a hard worker and really puts his all into everything he does.
-I love his sense of humor. He is always fun to be around, playfully teasing, or making jokes.
-I love his loyalty. He is the best friend and goes the extra mile to maintain relationships and show people he cares.
-I love how athletic he is. I loved to watch him play intramurels and can't wait until he can play catch/sports with Weston.
-I love how he puts in an extra effort to be romantic and creative even though it isn't his thing : )
-I love how goal-oriented and organized he is. I see him going over his goals and looking in his planner multiple times per day/week. He definately keeps our family on top of things.
-I love how complimentary he is. He always makes sure to tell me that I'm beautiful, tell me that dinner was wonderful, or let me know that I'm being a great mother.
-I pretty much love everything about him and don't know what I would do without him. He is a great example to me and to Weston and I'm grateful for everthing that he does for us. I love you Casey and I hope you have a great birthday!

Mirror, Mirror, on the Wall...
...who's the cutest little boy of them all? Weston! : )
I know I'm
a little biased, but he is just so cute! I just love being a mom and seeing him grow and develop. We borrowed this swing from my sister (Thank you Joanna!) while we are down here and at first he didn't like it (he would actually cry when he looked up at the mirror). Then he started being able to focus on things better and will stare at himself the whole time and smile! It is the most adorable thing and I just love it!
Mother's Day
The next week I was sitting down watching TV and Casey hands me a piece of paper that led me on a scavenger hunt throughout the house and yard (about 10 different locations and
clues). Casey had the cutest things to say on each piece of paper and was super creative with the clues. I was really impressed and had a goofy grin on my face the entire time : ) At the end of the rainbow was my Mother's Day present: a new external flash for my camera. It works great and makes taking pictures even more fun. I absolutely love it! Casey was still deciding which one to get me when Mother's Day rolled around and felt bad for not having it, but definately made up for it. I will always remember my first Mother's Day and all the effort that Casey went through to make it a special one for me, so I want to thank the greatest husband ever and say I love you tons! I hope everyone else had a great Mother's Day too!

More Pool Pics
We took Weston in the pool again the next day and these pictures were just too cute not to post. It's really hard controlling the need to take a picture of everything when you have a baby and going through them and deleting some is even harder. I usually think there is something cute about them all : ) Anyways, here is Weston relaxing in the intertube.

Poolside Tanner
The title is probably a flashback for some of our readers : ) Since Weston loves water and his baths so much, we thought we should see if he liked the pool. He liked dipping his feet in the other day and just liked being outside with us (he falls asleep every time), so today we decided to take him in the water. He looked so cute in his Tommy Hilfiger swimsuit (even though it's a little big) and he LOVED the water. It is a little chilly when you are first getting in, but he didn't even cry. He was only in for a few minutes, then we took him out, wrapped him in a towel and he fell asleep. He is such a good baby!

One Month Old!
It's hard for me to believe our little man is one month old already and because I'm late posting this, two months is right around the corner. It's crazy how fast it goes. He already looks so much bigger to me. I can't wait until his two month appointment to see how much he's grown. He makes us so happy and we find ourselves saying, "He's so cute!" multiple times a day : ) He is just a ball of energy. He is constantly thumping his legs and flailing his arms when he is awake or trying to crawl up me when I'm burping him. We can get him to smile on cue now too, which is one of my favorite things to do. Some of his favorite things are: baths, getting his boogers sucked out (weird I know), sleeping with mom, playing with dad, and getting his diaper changed. He's such a great baby and we love him to death! Here are some randome cuteness pictures from his first month.
This reminds me of Big Black's smile on "Rob & Big" (one of our favorite shows) and it just makes me smile every time I see it.
I just loved how he had his hand resting on his knee

Wondering why we're taking the covers off : )

I just love it when there are things on the bottom of the feet

Weston's Blessing
Two days after Casey's graduation and the day before we left for Sacramento, Casey blessed Weston in my parent's ward in Farmington, UT. My mom got him the cutest little white tux (it even had tails) and he looked so handsome, he was super good for being hungry, and of course Casey did a great job blessing him. Since Casey's family was all there and because Boise, ID is closer to Farmington than Sacramento, Jason and Ashley blessed Paisley in my parent's ward too. It was fun! They both looked so adorable. Afterwards, my parents were wonderful and we had a fantastic luncheon at their house. Thanks mom and dad! Here are a few pictures that Casey's mom took (I forgot my camera). Jason's friend Spencer was nice enough to take pictures the day of and I'll probably replace these pictures with his once we get them. Thank you Spencer! Also, thanks to everyone that was there to share in our special day! We really appreciate it!

Too cute!
The delicious food
Casey's Graduation
Hooray Casey! I am proud to announce that I am now married to a graduate with a Masters of Accountancy, Emphasis on Tax from Brigham Young University. Casey graduated on April 25th and it was a day filled with family and fun. The actual graduation was a little long (not a surprise), but the day was great and in the end, I think Casey was glad that I made him walk : ) That night we celebrated with all of our family at the Golden Corral for dinner courtesy of Morris and Christi (Casey's Aunt and Uncle). Here are a few pictures that we took in front of the sign a couple days before (it can get pretty crowded around the sign during graduation) and Casey's mom took the day of. Jason took some professional shots that I will add later, but he is slacking and I haven't gotten them yet : )
