Multnomah Falls
For one of the family activities during the family reunion, we went to the Multnomah Lodge and had breakfast, and then we went on the 6 mile Wahkeenah loop hike. It was raining a bit, but I preferred that to it being hot. These are only half of the pictures, and I know it is a lot, but it was just such a beautiful hike that I wanted to share as much of it as possible : )
The lower half (I like this half better)

Everyone together for a little bit. We ended up finishing in small groups because we all liked to go different speeds.

I thought this plant was cool. It looks like the stem is threaded throught he leaves.
Raindrops are so pretty
Everywhere you looked there were gorgeous trees towering over us
Casey like how the water was running over the mossy log
Nate's Graduation
One of the big events during the Tanner family reunion was that Casey's brother, Nate, graduated from the Oregon Health and Science University on June 8 and will now be working at Gentle Dental in Gresham, OR. Most of the day was centered around Nate and what he wanted to do since it was his big day. After graduation there was a luncheon at the school, then we went to the Portland temple, and then we had dinner at one of Nate's favorite places, Sweet Tomatoes. After dinner we went and played mini golf as a family. Congratulations to Ashley for beating us all! It was really close though, every single score was only one away from the next person. It was a great day and we are all so proud of Nate and his great accomplishment!

Seattle...Take 2
Last summer while we were in Portland for Casey's internship, we took a trip to Seattle, went to a bunch of famous sights, and had dinner at the Space Needle. While we were there the air conditioning was out and it was HOT, so Casey called and they gave us a gift certificate to go back, so while we were up in Portland again for Nate's Graduation we went and used it with Casey's mom. The food wasn't as good as the first time, but it is always fun to visit the Space Needle, and this time it was during the day, so it was a little different. The best part was that we went over the gift certificate amount by $50, but they gave us the whole meal FREE anyways. Free food is always better : )

"It's My Birfday"
Casey had his 25th birthday yesterday, but we started celebrating on Saturday by watching baseball at Chris' then playing mini-golf at Boondocks in Draper with Chris, Amanda, Ryan, and Kerstin. It is one of the nicer fun centers. Then we had dinner at Costa Vida (one of Casey's favorite places to go). On Sunday, I woke him up pretty early to give him breakfast in bed and open his presents. You'll notice that they are wrapped in plastic bags because that was Casey's request and "it's his birfday." After church, we had Ryan, Kerstin, Chris, Amanda, and Kevin over for dinner. We had Alice Springs Chicken, salad with homemade honey mustard dressing, and garlic mashed potatoes. Then a chocolate cake with strawberries and vanilla ice cream for dessert. Since it was Sunday, it was a day filled with food and friends. After dinner we played Scene It and then the boys played a little Halo. It was a good day. (The reason I have "It's my birfday" in quotation marks is because that was Casey's response after any request given throughout the day :) )
