Stick a Sock In It

For some reason our little man loves to suck on socks. If he sees one on the ground, it's done for, so I have to make sure I keep all of Casey's dirty socks in the laundry basket.

Laundry

Weston enjoying being buried in our clean clothes by Dad. He thought it was so funny and I thought he was so cute! :)

Computer Time

Jason came over one night while Ashley was out of town and all the boys spent the night on their computers. It was too cute to pass up!

Half a Year!

Better late than never is my motto :) So this is a little late since he is 7 months today, but this is what was going when our little man turned 6 months old:

* If I hold him facing my arm, he'll suck so hard on my bicep that he'll give me a hickey. It's kind of funny.
*He is scooting like CRAZY, goes up on all fours, and has taken a few crawls forward. Anytime now!
*Likes to take showers. When we first did it, we sprayed it right on his head hoping to get a reaction, but he just sat there. It didn't even phase him.
*Likes to drop things on purpose and watch us pick them up.
*Loves his rice cereal and I'm excited to start him on baby food.
*Loves to play with paper, keys, highlighters, and Casey's phone charger (which no longer works, oops!)
*Will scoot and follow me around the apartment.
*Can stand up against table, chair, the sofa, etc. unassisted.
*At his appointment he was 27 1/2 in long and weighed 17lbs 7 oz
Picture time!
I love this picture

Getting into trouble at Casey's work. When we take Casey lunch, we sit near this fountain and Weston LOVES it. Now that he can move and climb up on a few things he would play in the water.

His mischievious smile

Rockin' out! Actually, he was just listening to Casey's CPA review lecture :)

Chewing on the phone charger. After he broke Casey's, we gave him an old one to chew on.

San Francisco

There is a lot of pictures from our trip to San Francisco for our Anniversary, but we had such a good time. We walked around a lot and saw everything we set out to see, but we'll need to go back to see some of the other sights we couldn't fit into our day trip. Enjoy!
The San Francisco Bridge. We got there early enough that it was still foggy.
Just the three of usLombard Street-The Crookedest Street. Since we got there early, there wasn't a line to drive down.Pier 39 Seals Just a cute picture of WestonWeston and I riding the Pier 39 carousel. He loved it!
Eating clam chowder in a bread bowl. Casey said it was a must, but I think it was a little too expensive for what we got, so we'll just go the In-N-Out from now on :)

Ghiradelli Square
Casey's Peanut Butter Fudge Sundae. I got a strawberry shake.

Apple Hill

Nate and Misty came through Sacramento on their way to Misty's brother's homecoming and were able to spend a few days with everyone, so we took the opportunity to go to Apple Hill (after watching the BYU game of course).

They had a lot of different apples to choose from

Yeah for Rice Cereal!

At 5 1/2 months we started Weston on rice cereal to get ready for veggies and fruits. He wasn't too sure about it after the first few bites, but he was loving it by the time we were done. We tried to feed him in his rocker, but he kept wanting to sit up, so we set him on the ground. We have since gotten a booster seat, which he likes a whole lot more and makes it a lot easier to feed him.

Casey giving it a go
This is what happens when Casey feeds him and it proceeded to get worse after each spoonful. There was cereal all over, so I had to take over again. He even wipes his own face : ) He was a fan of the bowl as well

He Passed!

For the last few months since Casey graduated, he has been studying for his CPA exams. He took his first one in July and his second in August. I'm proud to say that he passed both with flying colors. He's been studying really hard, so he deserves it. Congratulations! 2 down, 2 to go!

The Circus!

One of the benefits to Casey's company is that they have a box at Arco Arena, and if there aren't too many clients going and you sign up on a list, you can get tickets to almost any event except King's games. Casey signed us up for the Circus because I had never been and we took our good friends the Nartkers. It was fun, but we decided that it would be ideal for the 5 to 10-year-old range. Now I can say I've been, but I don't think we'll be going back anytime soon : )

I know this picture is blurry, but it reminds me of the chaos before the show started and during intermission.

Ruth's Chris Steakhouse

Right now is one of Casey's busy seasons, so he had to go into work last Saturday for a couple of hours, but it was worth it because one of the partner's told Casey to take me out to dinner and he would pay for it. I was looking at all the places to eat in Roseville, when I saw that there was a Ruth's Chris in the mall next to us. Because Casey gets a little spoiled in his line of work, he had been twice for lunch when he interned in San Diego, but I had never been and always wanted to go. Two nights ago we all got dressed up and had a delicious dinner, and I got to check one more restaurant off my list of places to eat :)

I was just a little excitedWeston was really good. He got a little tired with his toys so Casey held him, but then we gave him some paper and was good to go while we finished dinner and ate our dessert.

Man Overboard

Weston is now on the move and slowly scootin' towards anything he can get his hands on. He really likes paper, so anytime he sees Casey's magazine, he automatically scoots towards it. It is usually by the side of our bed and we have yet to get a bed frame, so it makes for one little obstacle for Weston to overcome to reach his target. He does this almost every morning.

Just For Kicks

This is the new favorite thing that I mentioned in Weston's "5 Month" post. He does this in the water too. We were at our friends', the Griffin's, house when I took this.

5 Months

I can't believe another month has come and gone, so it's time to update you on Weston's latest and greatest:

-Dances/stomps his feet
-Likes to suck on his lower lip
-LOVES to give kisses and get kisses
-Discovered his ears and likes to bat at them when he is tired
-Likes to look at his hands and wiggle his fingers
-Rolls over both ways consistently and is starting to scoot. He lifted himself on all fours once.
-Will kick his legs and doggy paddle in the water and when Casey lifts him up in the air when I say, "Weston, show me kicks." It's my new favorite thing.
-Was 16lbs 12oz and 26 1/2 in. at his appointment this last week.

Here are a few of my favorite moments from the past month.

Still loves to chew on his hands
Playtime with Daddy. He likes to get Casey's nose.
All bundled up after his bath
In his new crib
His pacifier has become his favorite teething toy

Let The Games Begin

Well, college football season has begun and we couldn't be more excited. Luckily, we were able to watch the first game at Jason's friend's house on his brand new/huge flat screen. We pulled through with the win and we're hoping it's the trend for the rest of the season. We're looking forward to watching "The Quest for Perfection" and are loudly cheering from afar this year. Go Cougars!

Weston all decked out in his BYU gear. I also brought along his First BYU Book and a BYU football for good measure so that no one questioned his fanhood : )

Congratuations Charity!

Charity is now a licensed therapist since she passed her second and final test last Saturday. To celebrate we went to Costa Vida for lunch and a little place called Icing on the Cupcake for dessert. Charity had driven by it and I had seen it in a magazine and we both wanted to go there because cupcakes are just so cute! Charity wanted a cute box, so we got them to go. I have to admit, they were only okay and not amazing, but it was fun to give them a try. At least they looked pretty : ) Congratulations again to Charity! We're so excited for you!
