Wiggly Weston's Birthday Party!

Prepare for some blog overload. I'm a little behind :) On March 28 we had Weston's first birthday party. Its' hard to believe we've already reached such a big milestone. It was a bug theme and we had it at a nearby park. It turned out great! Weston loves to be outside, so we couldn't have had it a more perfect place. All the food turned out, a lot of our friends were able to come help us celebrate, and Weston had a good time, which is really all that matters. Thanks to everyone that was able to make it, for your wonderful gifts, and for making Weston's 1st Birthday a great one!

The Food. We had Jello Jigglers in W's and 1's, chocolate covered worms, dirt pudding cups, funfetti cupcakes, an edible arrangement, and Weston's cake.
It didn't turn out exactly the way I imagined, but I was happy with it.
I was quite proud of my edible arrangement. After seeing how much they charge for the real ones, I decided I could make it on my own.
Playing with his cousins. My sister and her family were able to come up. It was great to have some of my family there along with all of Casey's.
Cake Time. He just liked to play with the frosting at first.
Getting into it
Our messy little man. He didn't disappoint.

Checking out his stash. His toy collection doubled, but he loves them all!

Elder Pitt's Farewell

On March 18 my brother went into the MTC and is serving in the Jackson, Mississippi Mission. We actually got to talk to him on Mother's Day, so that was fun. His farewell was March 15, so of course we made the trip up to Utah to see him before he left and spend time with all my family. We did a lot of fun things and got to see some people we hadn't seen in a while, so it was a great time. We're really proud of my brother and the work he is doing!

Weston touching snow for the first time and holding his first snow ball. I definately didn't need to tell him what to do with it :) At the Draper Temple open houseThe Burger Bar. It was featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives on Food Network so my parents thought it would be fun to go to. My shake was delicious!
Family picure with Elder Pitt. Well, he wasn't Elder Pitt yet, but he is now :)
The whole family. It's getting harder and harder to get us all together at one time, but it is always great when we manage it.
This is what we did for fun for a few days before most of my family showed up

One Year Older and Wiser Too?

March 4 was my birthday and we were in San Francisco for it, but despite his long hours and being in a different city, Casey made it a great one for me. He surprised me with flowers and then took me to Sutro's at the Cliffhouse for dinner (http://www.cliffhouse.com/sutro/index.html). It was a really nice restaurant and a very pleasant surprise for me. The chef and staff were very nice and accomodating. They sent over free food for Weston, a free appetizer, the chef came over and fed Weston ice cream, and gave us two free desserts. They also gave me a signed Happy Birthday menu as a keepsake for the evening. Everything was absolutely delicious and I was in heaven. Thank you baby! The next Sunday we had my birthday dinner with family (dinner by Ashley, cake by Charity) and I opened my presents. Thanks to everyone that called, emailed, and sent cards as well. You all made my 26th birthday wonderful!

I left my heart in San Francisco...

I just liked this title, but it's not really true. Casey had another 7 week audit rotation in San Francisco. It was fun to see more of the city and everything, but by the time it was over, we were glad to be back in Roseville. Here are a few of my favorite things/pictures from our visit.

Walking and Then Some

Here is a video of Weston showing off his skills :)

11 Months!

One more month and my baby is a whopping 1-year-old. Crazy! He is getting so big. I honestly never thought it would fly by this fast. Here's a little update:

-Likes to point
-Likes books a lot more and will sit still while I read 2 or 3. Was struggling with 1 for a while :)
-Imitates you when you shake your head
-Likes to throw rocks
-Played in sand for the first time
-Likes dogs- We met Casey for lunch and he followed this dog around and petted it very nicely. He didn't even cry when it jumped up on him.
-Doesn't like the vacuum since Casey chased him around with it one day.
-One of his favorite places to play is on the bed
-Has been walking like a champ since about 10 1/2 months

Here are some pictures we took on the big day!

Superbowl Sunday

We hosted a superbowl party at our place this year. There was lots of food, fun, and family. The game was okay. Definately not as good as last years, but we had a good time anyways. Jason works at Intel and got 3D glasses for us to watch the Monsters vs. Aliens preview and the SoBe commercial. We finished the night off with The Office and then some Superbowl Sundaes.

Everyone in 3D glasses always makes for a good picture Superbowl Sundaes. Casey actually thought of this dessert : )
What is a superbowl party without bathtime? :)

King's Game

Casey got some King's tickets through his company a couple weekends ago, so Weston and I had the opportunity to go to our first King's game at Arco Arena. They lost, but that is no big surprise since they aren't very good, but it was really fun. Weston loved it! He was very excited and bounced up and down and clapped almost the whole time. We'll have to get him his own jersey so we all have one.

Ski Trip

In the middle of January, Casey surprised me with a ski trip. I had never been skiing, so he took the day off work and set up a babysitter for Weston. Overall it was a very fun day. I'm not the best and the steep slopes were a little intimidating/scary, but now I can say I've been. Thanks for taking me, babe! and Thanks to Jason and Ashley for watching Weston. Here are a few pics.

10 Months!

My baby is 10 months. I can't believe he will be one in a few months. It has gone by so fast. It's crazy because I hardly remember being pregnant and it feels like we have had his happy/smiling face in our lives forever. I don't know what we would do without him. He is constantly keeping us entertained and is the light of our lives. We just love this little guy. Now onto the update. A lot has happened in a month.

-Loves to play with cars and pushes a lot of other things along the ground like a car
-Makes noises when he crawls around. A lot of the time he pants like a dog.
-Finally started saying Ma-ma, but not very often.
-Found his tongue- like to stick it out, grab it with his fingers, and I just taught him how to click his tongue a few days ago.
-He already has a boy's appetite. His intake has doubled, so we have pretty much cut out almost all baby food because it was getting a little expensive. He is a great eater and eats pretty much anything we put in front of him, but he LOVES blueberries. He eats those up faster than anything else.
-Enjoys the walker we got him
-Bounces on his knees when he is excited
-Learned to clap - We went to a Kings game the other night and he was bouncing on his knees and clapping throughout the game. He had a good time.
-Upgraded to a bigger carseat because he is a little over 20 pounds now. I can't wait to turn him around in 2 months though.
-His third tooth is coming in.
-And here is the big one...TOOK 12 STEPS! Since then he usually takes 5-6, but has taken 10-12 twice now. He also squats when he is standing and then stands back up and can push himself off the ground. He thinks he is pretty special when he does this. Sometimes he tries to show off and do it really quick and then he falls on his butt.

This is his fake crying face. Don't you just love the single tear?
You had better not get in his way when he is using his walker. I almost lost my life trying to get this picture! :)
Looking at the fountains with cousin Paisley. Although, I think he enjoyed it a little more than she did.
Our little lemonhead. To Casey's dismay, he didn't even make a sour face. He loves lemons.

Showing off his two teeth. He's always super happy after he eats :)

Great Commercial

Just to break up the 9 month and 10 month posts, here is a commerical I saw the other day that I thought was funny.
