Ultimate Frisbee
As soon as football and soccer had ended, it was time for ultimate frisbee. The season didn't end with the intramural champion shirt, but they still had fun and are all geared up for the football season come fall semester : )
Ladykiller in the Making
While we were in Sacramento, we stayed with our good friends Jason and Melody, and Casey had a blast playing with their cute as can be son Dallin. We stayed at their place the entire trip which was very nice of them, so Casey had plenty of time to play with his new little friend. We all agreed that he is going to have a hard time keeping the ladies at bay when he gets older : )

Sacramento Temple
Our first night in town we went to see the new Sacramento Temple. As you can see, it is still under construction, but still a sight to behold. Casey works as an accouting clerk in the Harris Fine Arts Center, and he was talking with one of the art professors that painted a 100 foot murel that is going to go inside this temple. He took Casey down to the LDS Motion Picture Studio and showed it to him and Casey said it was amazing. I can't wait until we can go inside and see it.

California Love
Our next stop in California was Roseville where Casey went to High School. It was fun to see his old stomping grounds, where he wrestled, and where he "was the man" : ) Summer Sanders was an olympic swimmer and she built the city a really nice aquatics center that Casey has mentioned a few times. It was also fun to hear Casey and Jason reminisce about the good 'ole days.

Go Timberwolves!

Summer Sanders now hosts "The Sports List" on Fox Sports, so whenever we see her I tease Casey about how he's so special that she built his pool, so of course I had to take a picture in front of it : )

Antelope Stake Center. Only seven of this model of stake center were built and they are the biggest in the world.

Are we there yet?
It took us a while, but we had finally made it to California. Our first stop down memory lane was Auburn where Casey went to Middle School. I couldn't believe how green it was. There were trees everywhere you looked and they were beautiful. It seemed like we walked around a lot, but that is probably because I was in my new heels and my feet were killing me : ) It was fun to see where movies that I had seen were filmed and the view from the bridge was amazing. The lake where Casey and Jason went fishing and caught frogs : )
We couldn't go through California without getting a picture of the state flower. I miss all the poppies springing up everywhere.
Forrest Hill Bridge. One of the beginning scenes in XXX when Vin Diesel jumps off the bridge in a Corvette and then parachutes to the bottom was filmed here. I thought that was pretty cool along with the view.

Behind Casey's house was an apple orchard that he used to walk through to get to school. The film Phenomenon (with John Travolta) was also filmed here. Casey liked to show us all the places where movies were filmed.
On the Road Again
What would a roadtrip be without sunflower seeds, bugs on the windshield, scenic views and of course pelting each others cars with trail mix and grapes (You have to have some fun too) : )
Casey had to clean the windshield at almost every stop because of...
