Bowling in Sactown

We decided that it would be fun to go bowling one night, so we went to this pretty snazzy bowling alley and had a great time. The boys bowled on one lane and the girls on the other. I think just about everyone bowled the best game of their lives (mine was a 116), and I beat Casey for the first time : ) During the second game, Casey made one heck of a comeback and bowled a 167! It was amazing. He also got three strikes in a row (Gobble, Gobble!). Nartker had an amazing game as well and ended up beating Casey by one point with a 168.

Casey's Haircut

Casey grew out his hair for like 5 months because he HATES getting his haircut, but while we were in Sacramento we decided that Nartker could do the honors and make him more respectable looking : ) I actually didn't mind the longer hair but now he looks like a new man!

After! Isn't he handsome : )

Tour of Intel

When we went up to Sacramento a few weekends ago, we ended up visiting Intel, which is where Jason is now working. We walked around A LOT, but at least it was good exercise. The place is huge. There are like 7 or so buildings and they are all connected by walkways and such. We also saw cubicle, after cubicle, after cubicle...

In The Leafy Treetops

I was outside watching the kids play and they decided to climb trees, and Trevon told me to "go get your camera, and take a picture of us." I guess it's obvious that I like to take pictures and that they're not shy in front of the camera : ) Then they decided that it would be fun to pelt me with "pokies." It was fun though. While I was out there I also took pictures of the few remaining leaves on the trees.

Santa Monica Pier

After Casey's last day of training (Friday), we didn't want to be stuck in traffic, so we stayed another day and Chris' grandparents were nice enough to let us stay at their house in Santa Monica. It was a beautiful house built in 1929. Santa Monica was a pretty city too. The night we stayed, Chris and his dad took us to the Santa Monica Pier and 3rd Street (a closed off street where they have a lot of stores). We had a blast and Casey won me a stuffed monkey for throwing baseballs at plastic plates and breaking them : )

The game where Casey won the stuffed monkey

Casey and I both tried this, but didn't get to the top to ring the bell. Casey got a lot closer than I did though.

Intern Training in Los Angeles

Casey had to go to intern training in LA a few days after we got to San Diego. We stayed in The Omni, which is a really nice hotel in downtown LA. It is not a place to hang out there. We soon found out that people only go downtown to work and go to Lakers games. Our hotel had a really pretty food court with a big fountain that shot water int he air and water surrounding a lot of it. Also, our friend Chris was visiting his family for Christmas Break, so we hung out with him and he showed us around Pasadena and Santa Monica.

Downtown LA
Our first night there we were downtown looking for a place to eat (downtown is not a hot spot) and we saw this place, so we stopped and took a picture.
The Museum of Contemporary Art was right next to our hotel. This is a sculpture made completely out of airplane parts.

Broc's Graduation Party

Joanna threw a Graduation Party for Broc because he just graduated with his Bachelor's in Business Management from SDSU. It was at the beach and we had a lot of fun. Broc and his dad grilled hot dogs and hamburgers, we flew kites, skateboarded, played over the line, and just hang out. It was a beautiful day too. We're really enjoying the San Diego weather : ) Congrats to Broc for all his hard work!

"Let's go fly a kite"
Q: How many guys does it take to fly a kite?
A: More than two because Casey and Jonathan weren't having much luck : )

I've never been very good at skateboarding, but I got pretty good that day. Don't expect any tricks though: )

Pitt Family Christmas

For Christmas Eve and Christmas we decided to go to my parents in their new house. My mom always does a really good job with the decorations, so I was really excited. It is one of my favorite parts about Christmas. Casey's mom and Charity also came up with us, so it was fun. On Christmas Eve we went to my parents ward and saw a wonderful Christmas Program, then we went home and got ready for Christmas Eve dinner. We always have a buffet style dinner for Christmas Eve and my grandparents, aunt and uncle, and my cousins also came to celebrate with us. On Christmas day, we got to sleep in which was nice. We opened presents, hung out, then had a wondeful dinner. That night I took Casey's mom and Charity to the airport. While we were driving, the driver's side window exploded (a rock must of hit it just right), so the ride home was a bit chilly, but we were just glad nobody got hurt. I have to give a big thanks to my parents for letting everyone come and for the wonderful dinners we had : )

Tanner Family Christmas

This Christmas, Nate and Misty were already going to be in town for her family, Jason and Ashley were driving through on the way to her family's, and Casey and I live in Provo, so it made sense for Charity and Mom to meet us there. We had a great time doing family stuff like bowling, playing Mexican Train (dominoes game), and then topping it off with presents. Christmas time is such a wonderful time of year and we're always glad when we get to spend it with family.

Nate was having some stomach problems, so we made sure he stayed with a bag close by.

Adalei was taking a nap during most of the festivities, but she finally woke up and timidly opened the rest of her presents
