More Fun in the Sun

The kids are always so excited when Casey comes, and one of their favorite things to do is climb all over him, so they do it any chance they get. We went swimming once we got back to the house and we also went to the beach again before we left. We always have so much fun whenever we come down to San Diego.

Casey came in the house after swimming and did some push-ups...
...and all the kids decided to copy him : )
Get Casey!

Guess Who's Coming?

The Friday before I left San Diego, Casey called me at 7 in the morning (which was very brave on his part : ) ) to tell me that he had a stop in San Diego and was wondering if he should change his ticket and just fly home with me the next day. We all decided he should, so he did. After we picked him up from the airport we went to Seaport Village with my Garth, Janelle, Jaleen, and Jonathan.

These two little boys were taking money from the fountain, but they looked so cute doing it I had to take a picture. They even got their heads wet trying to get the coins.

Sunny San Diego

While Casey was in Florida for his training, he sent me to San Diego so that I could visit my family that I haven't seen since Christmas. I had a great time playing with the kids, swimming every day, and especially spending time with my sisters and brother. I even got a haircut from the best haircutter ever (my sister Joanna) and got to see the cute new Disney movie "Cars." Here are a few of the fun times.

"Cars" at the Drive-ins. We had to take to different cars to fit everybody, so Janelle and
Garth took different routes to see who would get there first and Starlee and Trevon were telling Janelle to go faster so that they "could beat dad." It was so cute.

Who knew it you had to take so much stuff to go to the beach, but with six kids you have to remember sunscreen, towels, umbrellas, blankets, toys, chairs, food, etc.

The prettiest shell on the beach
The kids splashing in the water (except Starlee who had
Garth hold her so the water wouldn't get her)

Casey's Training in Florida

As I mentioned before, Casey was flown to Florida for Training. He stayed in a really nice hotel with an awesome pool, went to House of Blues, they opened up Walt DisneyWorld after hours and five of the rides especially for the interns, and KPMG paid for everything. They didn't only have fun though. Casey also had to go to trainings for 12-14 hours a day and take a test on the information that he learned.

In one of the clubs that was shut down at Walt DisneyWorld, there were two piano players having a play-off. Casey said it was pretty cool because they knew just about every song.
Casey took this picture in front of the fountain just for me because I told him that I needed pictures for the blog : ) He thought it was cool since it had fire coming out of it.
This is one of the parts that they opened up just for the interns and then lined with food.

They hired entertainers to come out too.
There was an NBA store that Casey stopped at and took a picture of the statue in front of it.

Casey's First Day of Work

Casey's first day of work was the day after we got to Vancouver. He had to go to an orientation. I was so excited that I had to take a picture. It is hard work, but the company makes up for it by taking them out to lunch and breakfast, etc. All the interns were also flown to Florida for a week for a training. It's a hard job, but somebody has to do it : )

Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI)

On our first Saturday in Vancouver, Nate, Misty, and Adalei took us to OMSI. We had a blast and quickly found out that the things that you liked as a kid are still entertaining. We could have spent a lot more time there, but were eventually kicked out for closing time : ) We would love to go back because there was so much more that we wanted to do.

Casey and I were sitting on two sides of the glass and lights were shining on us that had a cool effect. You can see how half of the image is me and the other half is Casey.

My paper airplane flying.
They did it!
Casey and Misty building structures to withstand an "earthquake." They both did really well and only a few of Casey's blocks fell off.
Paddle boat race
This was a game to test your response time. I got 100% with the fastest average time of 0.836 seconds.

Traffic jam. This accident held us up on the freeway for a little while on our way home. It looked pretty crazy.
